Registration Interview Panel
Engineers and Geoscientists BC is looking for new volunteers to join our Registration Interview Panel!
Registration Interview Panel members have the unique opportunity to contribute to the regulation and governance of their profession by conducting interviews of applicants for the P.Eng. designation. This will assist in the fair and timely assessment of P.Eng. applications.
The work that our interview panel members do in this role can be completed remotely, typically takes about two hours, and can count towards Continuing Education hours.
Requirements:
Have at least three years as a registered professional engineer (in any jurisdiction) in your stated area of practice.
What disciplines we most need:
Mechanical, Civil, Building.
Why we need you:
The profession of engineering is continuing to grow in BC and in turn, so are the number of applications we receive (we have experienced an increase of 40% in applications for P.Eng.). We need volunteer interviewers to ensure the timely registration of our applicants.
Each interviewer is a highly valued volunteer who helps to maintain the integrity of the application process.
What you do:
- Conduct an interview as a panel of two and provide honest and constructive feedback regarding the candidate’s qualifications and readiness for professional practice.
- By recruiting more volunteers, we aim to ask you to complete a maximum of 3-4 interviews per year.

A review can be completed remotely and typically takes two hours.
You may also earn CE (continuing education) hours.
You will be provided with training modules and documentation to assist with your review.
